Working with prices
Reviewing and applying
The screen where you change prices.
Every rule set to suggest writes its proposals to the Suggestions screen. Nothing listed there has been applied to your store.
What each row shows
- The current price and the suggested price, which you can type over to use your own.
- Margin before and after, worked out from your cost per item.
- Units sold over the last 14, 30 and 60 days, and the date of the last sale.
- Stock on hand.
- A sentence explaining the reasoning, with the numbers it used.
- Any limit that changed the figure, and which one it was.
- With the EU price rules on, whether the new price passes them. One that doesn't is marked Held for you to look at.
Applying in bulk
- 1Select
Tick individual rows, or use Select this page to take everything listed. Filter, sort or search first to narrow what that means.
- 2Edit anything you disagree with
Type over a suggested price. Your figure is the one written, the row is marked Edited, and the edit survives a page reload.
- 3Apply
The button shows how many prices will change. Large batches go to Shopify in the background and you can leave the page.
When a suggestion isn't applied
- The product's price changed after the suggestion was made, by hand, by another rule or by a sale. Run the rule again for a fresh suggestion.
- The product is in a scheduled sale that changes prices. It is left alone until the sale ends.
- The new price would show a bigger saving than your last 30 days of prices support, with the EU price rules on.
The app tells you which suggestions were skipped and why.
Why 60 days
Sixty days is as far back as Shopify lets an app read orders without extra permission. A 90-day figure would have to be estimated, so the app doesn't show one. Canceled and test orders are left out, and the figures refresh each night.
