Custom modules don't move
Magento extensions run inside the platform with full access to core. On Shopify that logic becomes an app, a Function, a metafield model or a connector, so every module needs a decision before the build starts.
Magento to Shopify Migration
Adobe's new stack means rebuilding the storefront and moving customizations into App Builder. If you are rebuilding anyway, we'll scope the same move to Shopify: ERP and B2B logic behind the API, every old URL redirected, and a launch that starts small before the main store moves.

Customer-specific prices, stock syncs and cron jobs often sit inside Magento. We move them into a connector behind the API so Shopify upgrades don't touch them.
Magento's .html suffixes, category paths and store-view URLs all need a mapped 301. Multi-country domains need their redirects planned at the edge as well.
Discount stacking order and discount types don't map one to one. Rebuild the cart rules that matter and test them against real baskets.
The platform reality
A Magento module runs in the same process as core and can change almost anything. That's why an upgrade is only as smooth as the least careful extension in the install, and why ERP pricing plugins and cron jobs resurface on every version bump.
Shopify's core is closed. Custom work attaches through versioned extension points: Functions, UI extensions, metafields and the Admin API. Shopify ships platform updates without you scheduling an upgrade, and moving an app to a new API version is an app update. The store has no upgrade project.
One plan detail to settle early: Functions inside a public App Store app run on any plan, but a custom app built only for your store can use Functions only on Shopify Plus. That decides how some Magento logic gets rebuilt.

Honest qualification
Many consumer and wholesale stores on Magento fit Shopify well, including ones with an ERP behind them. The hard cases are very heavy custom catalog logic and complex quote workflows. Both can be built on Shopify, but the first-year cost rises and the comparison with a well-run Magento upgrade gets close.
We also check every connector before we put it in the plan. A vendor having an API doesn't mean it integrates with Shopify, so we confirm which fields sync, in which direction and how often, before you pay for it.
We inventory the Magento install: modules, extensions, store views, ERP and B2B logic, top landing pages, and the jobs your team runs every day. You get a written list of what moves, what gets rebuilt and what we'd drop.
We design the Shopify data model and integration architecture, pick the apps and connectors (and test that they really integrate), and build the redirect map.
We set up Shopify, run test migrations, build the storefront and wire the ERP connector, B2B catalogs, promotions and tracking. Then we QA real orders end to end.
We cut over in stages where possible, starting with a smaller store, region or share of traffic, then move the rest once orders, redirects and integrations check out.
