Shopify Black Friday Readiness

Fix what breaks on Black Friday before the traffic arrives.

Black Friday is 27 November 2026. In one fixed-scope sprint we find and fix the things that cost orders on the day: codes that refuse to combine, shipping rates that vanish, checkout rules nobody tested, and the order-status questions that bury support the week after.

Where projects go wrong

Peak traffic shows you what was already weak.

Black Friday rarely breaks a store on its own. It takes a discount that only works in one combination, a shipping rule that fails for one postcode, an app that fights the cart drawer, and makes each of them expensive at once, while the team is busiest. Most of the work is dull and operational, which is why it is worth doing now.

01 / Discounts

Codes that will not combine

We test every planned offer against your plan's stacking rules, including Shopify Plus discount tags, and rebuild the ones that will fail. See why discount codes stop stacking on Black Friday in our knowledge base.

02 / Shipping and payment

Rates that vanish, methods that cost you

Missing rates for some addresses, express on oversized items, Cash on Delivery on big orders. We fix the zones and add rules with Smart Checkout Widgets, which runs shipping and payment rules on every plan.

03 / Campaign links

Emails and ads that land in a full cart

Cart Rocket links put the products and discount in the cart before the shopper arrives, so the email says "shop the deal" and the deal is already applied. We set them up per campaign with tracking.

04 / The week after

Where is my order, times a thousand

Order-status questions spike after peak. Agentmatica, now on the Shopify App Store, looks up orders in chat and can handle address changes and cancellations if you allow them. We set it up before the rush.

Sister guides

Read the playbooks we wrote for each part of the funnel.

Each of our products has its own Black Friday guide. The checkout playbook covers gifts, upsells and rules. The cart link playbook covers email and ad campaigns. The support surge guide covers the week after.

How the engagement moves

01

List the risks

A short call and a pass over the store, the planned offers and the app stack. You get a fixed list and a fixed quote.

02

Fix on a copy

Changes go onto a duplicate theme or development store first and get tested with real products, discounts and addresses.

03

Ship before the freeze

Everything is live and checked by around 20 November, so the last week is for campaigns, not code.

Straight answers.

When is Black Friday and Cyber Monday in 2026?+

Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November 2026. Most stores we work with freeze theme and app changes about a week before, so fixes need to be live and tested by around 20 November.

Why are my Shopify discount codes not stacking for Black Friday?+

On most plans Shopify still applies one product discount per item, so a sitewide sale and a product code will not combine on the same line. Shopify Plus stores can let product discounts stack using discount tags set on both discounts. Our knowledge base article walks through the combinations that work on each plan.

What should I fix first before Black Friday?+

Fix whatever can stop an order: discounts that do not apply, shipping rates that disappear for some addresses, payment methods that fail, and app conflicts on the cart. Speed and design come after that. A stable store usually does more for peak-day conversion than a new section shipped the week before.

Is it too late to start in November?+

Not for fixes and checkout rules. It is late for a redesign or a theme migration, and we will tell you so. Most sprint items are small changes that can be tested on a duplicate theme or development store and shipped before the freeze.

How much does the sprint cost?+

It is quoted as a fixed price after a short call, because the list depends on your store. You get the list of what we will check and fix before you commit to anything.
