Mix & match
Slot-based bundles with fixed items and choices.
Mix & match bundles are built from slots. A slot is either a fixed item (always included) or a choice (the shopper picks one option from a set). This is the format for guided bundles and products that outgrow Shopify's variant limits.
Slot types
- Item slot — a specific product or variant, always in the bundle.
- Choice slot — a set of options; the shopper selects exactly one. Options with multiple variants show a variant picker.
The add-to-cart button stays disabled until every choice slot has a selection, so incomplete bundles can't be added.
